Can’t Australia do just a little bit more?

Australia has just accepted most of the Afghani refugees who we have warehoused in Indonesia for the past 6 years, but we have refused 21 of them.  They are presently living in Lombok with no rights to work and no future

Here UNHCR expresses regret for the deaths of Afghani Refugees who were fired on by Pakistani military when they came in to break down the refugee camp, homes and shelter:

Here you can read about the 85,000 Afghani Refugees who have beeen forced out of Iran and back over the border into Afghanistan over the past 3 weeks. Iran wants  2 million Afghani refugees out:

Pakistan also wants  2 million Afghani refugees out.  There is no infrastructure for them in Afghanistan.

Last winter hundreds of babies of returned refugee families died of the cold because their families had no shelter. This year thousands more will die.

Meanwhile Australia is refusing to take the 21 Afghani refugees who we have been warehousing in Indonesia for the past 6 years .  they are presently living in Lombok with no rights to work or a future. Some children are going to school because supporters in western countries are paying their school fees.  There are 3 families and 9 children and a few single people, many have relatives in Australia. Our government is pressuring them through their paid agents, IOM, to get them to sign that they will leave voluntarily- or they will be locked up in quarantine detention.

Pakistan and Iran are dealing with 4 million refugees- couldn't Australia take 21 refugees and give them a future. Is this too much to ask?
